Unwanted fashion dolls around? Get a dog.

For a long time I've wanted E to give away her Kellie dolls. They are like miniature Barbies in training. Kind of cute. But she rarely plays with them and I find them "around" too much. Today she got them out for some sort of game with all the fashion dolls, including "Soldier Barbies" which is what she sometimes calls the GI Joes - much to the annoyance of her big brother. But the dog got one of them and chewed its foot off. He also made the doll's hair - these dolls have very long hair, like all good Barbies - all icky with dog spit.

I'd rather they went to a friend or to charity. But, the trash can works too, if my goal is to get them out of my way.

Of course E is going to give the doll a haircut before she tosses it. What is it with girls and cutting their dolls hair?

Oh, they just walked in to show me that they've dismembered the doll. Should I be worried?

I remember cutting my Chatty Kathy's hair (remember her?) She went from having a blond page boy to a (very bad) "pixie" cut (remember those?) in less than two minutes. Boy, did I ever butcher that poor doll's hair.

RE : the dismemberment. Josh used to remove limbs (and sometimes the head) from Joy's Barbie dolls and turn them into guns. I don't know...I think it's just something they do...

I'm gonna answer your email tonight; I was going to do it this morning, but was without internet access most of the day. Wouldn't you know...it started working after we tried everything and finally made an appointment for a technician to come out and look at it.
